These Problems May Arise In The Process Of Cutting Stainless

Writer: admin Time:2019-11-05 14:57 Browse:

First, the strength relationship of stainless steel will produce deformation. In the process of processing and cutting stainless steel, because its elongation is inevitable, especially austenitic stainless steel, there will be greater plastic deformation, which will inevitably lead to difficulties in cutting. Moreover, the strength ratio of stainless steel itself is greater, which increases the binomial resistance in the cutting process and strengthens the cutting force.

Secondly, the cutting temperature of stainless steel is high. A lot of heat will occur in the cutting process, but the heat conductivity of stainless steel material is poor, so the total heat is concentrated on the cutting area and blade, which is not easy to heat.

Third, cutting is difficult. Stainless steel is a hard material with good plasticity and toughness, but in the process of cutting, because it is not easy to break and easy to adhere, cutting extrudes the general situation of stainless steel, resulting in excessive wear of cutting tools (this is because of tool wear, resulting in pits on the tool surface, forming small flakes and notches; plus the high hardness of stainless steel, direct contact and friction with cutting tools when cutting. The abrasion of cutting tools and work hardening will aggravate the wear of cutting tools, thus deteriorating the general situation of stainless steel processing.

Fourth, stainless steel is easy to expand. In the process of cutting, a large amount of heat will occur, which will lead to the expansion of stainless steel and increase the difficulty of cutting.
